For families and children, Gleneagles’ has dozens of tailored activities ranging from cycling around lochs, playing polo, training a gun dog or even driving an Argo Cat on the miniature off-road driving course.
There are also special seasonal activities, all of which go far beyond the standard ‘kids club’ offerings – expect ‘Spy School’, a ‘Myths and Legends’ celebration, Boffins chemistry and science workshops, bug hunting and pond rambles, tea parties, archery, gundog lessons and a picture-perfect play room filled with traditional toys and dress-ups.
Helpfully, all of the activities available at Gleneagles for children are sorted by age group. Children as young as three can take part in golf lessons, likewise they can try their hand at riding (there’s Shetland ponies for the littlies) – kind of nice to be able to say Master Three’s golf career began at Gleneagles!
Gleneagles Hotel can accommodate families of all sizes with additional beds or cots in rooms, interconnecting rooms and adjoining rooms. Adjoining rooms can sleep up to four adults and six children.
