Have you always wanted to be a movie mogul? Are you a fan of Gary Hustwit’s other design documentaries, Helvetica and Objectified? Now’s your chance to help the director complete his latest project – a film about architecture and urban design.
Hustwit is trying to get the film funded using Kickstarter, and supporters can choose how much they would like to back the film in exchange for merchandise, DVDs, private screenings, etcetera For example, a $10 pledge will give you access to a high-definition digital download of the film when it is released (which is great, because his other two films were very hard to see in Australia). If you (or your company) want to go all-out, $5000 will buy you a private screening of Urbanized (or Helvetica, or Objectified, your choice) anywhere in the world, hosted by director Gary Hustwit. You’ll get a special thanks in the film’s credits, plus twenty DVDs and a set of the limited silkscreen prints.
The funding project only launched yesterday and he already has $25,000 in pledges, so act fast to be part of what is sure to be a terrific film.
