I’ve been known to lose hours, literally hours, visiting that alternative world known as Etsy. It starts out innocently – I think, “I’ll just have a quick browse for party invitations or some hair clips” and then hours later I emerge having found cushions, prints, jewellery and most recently a lovely padded camera strap. So it was with great excitement that I visited the newest Etsy destination – Etsy Kids.
Yes, with the introduction of Etsy Kids you can now double your time spent browsing all those handcrafted goodies. Etsy Kids is the new home for all things kids, babies and parents. As well as showcasing Etsy sellers and putting together seasonal shopping guides – for example, Christmas stocking stuffers, handmade toys and activities and games -there is a neat list on the Etsy Kids homepage that shows what’s trending at any one time (I’ll let you know that right now, it’s all about tutus, alphabet posters and recycled crayons).
Start exploring for yourself and it won’t take long to get lost in all that handmade loveliness – my quick visit uncovered a cheerful Rainbow Poncho by The Trendy Tot, unbelievably gorgeous custom rag dolls made to look like your child at Yellow String and superb wooden safari sets at Smiling Tree Toys. Think I ought to set aside a solid hour or two at Etsy Kids for some Christmas shopping!
