Midi skirt for mama, romper for bubba, and mini and vest for big girls, all in a gorgeous, photographic floral print. That’s how Hubble and Duke has got us champing at the bit for crisp autumn weather.
In collaboration with incredible floreographer Ashley Woodson Bailey, WA designer Hubble and Duke has released a limited edition collection perfect for mamas and their girls.
Printed ethically in Bali on organic cotton, the fabric and pattern are rich and deep. The pattern comes from a Bailey photograph called “Dutch Love,” and it’s all cream flowers peeking through regal navy, almost like they’re pushing up to the surface of an unknowably deep lake. It’s the perfect sort of drama to ring in darker months.
For mamas, there’s the midi skirt ($220) with a gently gathered waist. Pair it with suede ankle boots and a soft silk tee in pale pink to bring out the flowers. For little girls, the skirt comes in maxi or mini, but we prefer the short version for the freedom to play and climb. There’s a sweet pinafore ($70) with criss-cross straps and an elastic waist that we think would be perfect with a little pair of tan saddle shoes. If your girl isn’t all that girly, there’s the hooded puffer vest ($80).
For babies, the Dutch Love flowers adorn a romper ($70) with gathered, ruched legs. If the days are chilly, layer it over woolly, Merino leggings and a top. One baby superpower is that they can get away with any outfit and look adorable. If only that power lasted into adulthood.
From the tomboys to the girly girls to you, the mama, there’s an AWB garment for everyone. Talk about #twinning.
You can pre-order the collection at Hubble and Duke and shipping is $10 flat.
