Are you the kind of person who knows what you like in decor, but perhaps is not all that great at putting it together? I’m a bit like that. When faced with a stunning quilt, I still don’t really know what cushion to put with it. Do you see a great rug, but still have no idea what kind of lampshade would work in the space? You need Bibelotte.
The great thing about Dutch children’s decor company Bibelotte is the way they are creating entire collections around a theme for kids’ rooms. Every piece is sold separately, and you don’t need to get them all, but if you want a little something else to round out your little one’s bedroom or special space, chances are you will find it.
What’s more, the pieces have more of a “big kid” feel than lots of children’s decor. These are room concepts that could happily take you through the tween years, with only a little bit of tweaking. The range currently includes linen, cushions, pillows and lampshades, as well as the occasional one-off piece. Although the old faithful colour combos of pink, blue and purple are all on show, there is also a striking and more contemporary range in black and white check, and bright yellow.
Plans are in the works for an Australian stockist, and we’ll let you know once Bibelotte is here in Australia. In the meantime, you can check out their other stockists internationally (most are in Europe) to get a bit more of a feel for the range.
