Floressa Nursing Wear – celebrate motherhood in style

Maternity wear often seems to lump pregnancy and breastfeeding all in one when the fact of the matter is that those two distinct stages have quite different requirements – practically and fashionably speaking.

Floressa Nursing Wear gets it and distinguishes between the two. Their maternity range is highlighted by the chic Parisian look of the Camille Striped Maternity Top for $62.95 (pictured at top) and the ultra comfy harem style Zoe Pleated Maternity Pants for $79.95 (pictured below).

It is stylish tops and dresses for breastfeeding mums that Floressa Nursing Wear specialises in though, and their extensive range of everyday wear means that every mum will be able to find something to suit them. While comfort and easy care is definitely a priority with soft, breathable cotton fabrics predominating, the emphasis is on discreet breastfeeding access.

Perfect for this time of year is the Christa Grey Maternity Nursing Dress for $108.95. This jersey dress is universally flattering with a rounded neckline, long sleeves and side pockets, there is a contrast black trim under the bust that can be lifted for discreet breastfeeding access.

Another dress I love is the trendy, casual Danica Breastfeeding Nursing Maxi Dress for $119.95. It may need to be layered at this time of year but the tank style top with silver snap buttons on the shoulders and gathered maxi skirt with patch pockets is unique to this category of fashion and adds a fresh flavour to the face of nursing wear.

Floressa Nursing Wear is an Etsy store that is based in Sydney. They only launched late last year and have already been chosen as a finalist in the 2015 Mother & Baby Awards. Explore Floressa Nursing Wear on Etsy to see all of their fashion designs.

Just back from maternity leave, Kate Thompson is resigned to a house overrun by boys (3 kids, dog and husband). Existing in a phase she affectionately coins ‘monotonous chaos’, this stay-at-home-mum revels in moonlighting as a writer and feeling like a grown up every once in a while. A background in teaching and psychology, she entered parenthood confident she was up for the challenge, but now eats humble pie on a daily basis.
