Flora and Henri – a ray of sunshine

Sublime fashion for children that tugs on the heart strings is just what
Flora and Henri
offer. The brilliance of their magnificent yellow silk meringue dress is enough to gladden the most steely of hearts. It’s available in baby and child sizes right up to size 10 for matching sibling charm at those upcoming summer events. Yellow is truly chic right now, and I find myself choosing it more and more. Bright and welcome as sunshine, my imaginary daughter would be wearing this.

Flora and Henri have been designing superior children’s clothing
since 1998. At US$308-$312 for the yellow dress, I’m not
sure I’d want to test the claim that although the ‘products are of the highest quality, they are never too precious for climbing, digging, swimming and running’.

The adorable basics in Flora and Henri’s ‘Essentials’ range are more reasonably priced. There are delicious charcoal stretch knit lap tees in fine guage cotton, gorgeous cross-strap sandals, vintage-style boots, drool-worthy knits and a scalloped silk bonnet to die for. Once you begin navigating around the Flora and Henri site, you won’t be able to stop – it’s a veritable feast for the eyes with its rich photography and adorably dressed subject matter!

enfant terrible,
which ships internationally, stocks some of the range, sticking mainly
to the basics collection. A short sleeve lap shoulder tee is C$25,
matching leggings $32 and jeans $81. If you must have that dress, the shoes or the knits, you could try a re-shipper or call up a favour from a travelling friend or relative.
