Carmen Miranda’s got nothing on the fruity, sometimes loopy clothing designs of Little Man Happy.
Hailing from the decidedly un-tropical city of Berlin, Little Man Happy has travelled to Central America for inspiration for its latest childrenswear collection, and warm weather has done the designers good.
Prints of delectable, technicolour papayas on pale blue spotted backgrounds, and bunches of bright bananas atop coral stripes dominate the collection. These prints can be found on contrast pocket tees (€36), harem pants (€42), sleeveless shift dresses and ruffled skirts (€42).
A few solid knits that are ombre dip dyed, or decorated with toucans, or just a single colour ground the collection and keep total insanity at bay.
Don’t be fooled by the crazy bold patterns – this is a carefully planned collection with plenty of outfits to mix and match. Little Man Happy is going for looks that are stylish, unconventional, and united by simple, easy to wear basics for boys and girls. The brand is big on ethical practices and sustainability, and all the clothes are made from divinely soft, GOTS certified, organic cotton and jersey.
Little Man Happy’s full collection is online and international shipping is €11.90.
