The only thing that catches my eye more than vintage-inspired fashion is vintage-inspired children’s fashion. Suffice to say I get pretty excited whenever Fabrik releases a new collection.
These are the type of clothes I imagined when I was daydreaming of a girl during my first pregnancy. Ethereal floaty designs, natural fabrics and plenty of colours other than pink. (Though pink, of course, does feature. This is a collection for girls, after all). Fabrik’s winter range has just hit the shelves and is absolutely amazing. Expect stripes, bloomers, patchwork and lots of prints, all in Fabrik’s signature timeless style and in beautiful soft-to-the-touch fabrics.
Designer and Fabrik founder Sarah Hardie says her grandmother is the inspiration behind this divine label. Certainly, everything that’s good about nanna-esque style sensibilities has made its home at Fabrik. The collection has an old-fashioned charm that is as sweet as anything, while marrying very nicely indeed with modern design, as shown in the eye-catching sequin collar of the pretty Peter Pan cardigan (pictured below centre).
It’s not just clothes though, Fabrik sells all sorts of bedding and soft furnishings for creating picture-perfect and very girly bedrooms. Linens are made for cots, single beds and queen size too. The patchwork quilts are especially stunning.
Prices for Fabrik’s new winter 2013 collection start from $29.95 and there are loads of designs to choose from, in sizes from 000 to 10. If you love their stuff as much as I do, follow Fabrik on Facebook and keep up to date with all their news.
