There are many parents looking for something a bit softer when it comes to baby accoutrement. Stainless steel, hard edges and bold colours might be great for some but others want elegance with rounded edges and modern florals. Softer certainly doesn’t mean less stylish – Serena and Lily is a company that embraces lush tones for parents with a love for more muted aesthetics.
There are two new products coming up at Serena and Lily and we have the exclusive heads up to deliver to our loyal readers. A big welcome goes out to the Sausalito Basket, inspired by the sail bags used near the Serena and Lily design studio. It aims to have several lives – firstly as a beautiful sleeping place for your newborn, then as a toy storage basket and beach tote for when baby is grown. At $449, the kit will include the basket, a mattress and fitted sheet.
Then there’s the Gypsy Tote with its multiple pockets, fabulous crescent-shaped style and a perfect adjustable single strap for putting over pram handles. The lining is able to be wiped down which is an essential. It’s made from gorgeous flax linen with leather folksy detailing and, like all brilliant baby bags, doesn’t actually look like one. It will retail for $299.
Both products will be released on September 1 – stay tuned on Serena and Lily‘s newly launched Australian site. You heard it here first!
