A family trip to the States just isn’t complete without a visit to a mega theme park. If you’ve already been there and done that with Disneyland or if you have a child with a serious Lego obsession, then we have a must-visit destination that the whole family will enjoy.
Legoland Hotel has just opened in Florida and it is a mecca for Lego building visionaries and fans of the movies alike.
The experience begins as soon as you look at the resort. It appears to actually be made from Lego bricks and sets the scene with a steam breathing dragon and other larger-than-life Lego models of all your favourite characters.
There are 152 family friendly guest rooms that have been elaborately decorated in four themes that Lego fans will be familiar with – Pirate, Kingdom, Adventure and Lego Friends. All rooms sleep five and include a separate sleeping area for parents with a king-sized bed and another with a bunk bed and pull-out trundle that sleeps up to three kids. Premium themed and VIP suites are also available.
A stay at the Legoland Florida Hotel includes a welcome treasure hunt with lego prizes, lego bricks to play with, nightly entertainment for the kids, exclusive master model builder sessions, early access into the Legoland theme park and a full buffet breakfast.
I only hope the staff at this resort are better than me at spotting and removing all Lego hazards from the ground if I’m going to be going anywhere near here in bare feet!
Located 45 minutes from Orlando, Florida, the Legoland Florida Hotel is right next door to Legoland. Aimed specifically at kids aged 2-12, the theme park boasts more than 50 rides, shows and attractions plus a water park.
Prices to stay at Legoland Florida Hotel begin at $219 per night and vacation packages are available that include entry to the theme park. Want more Lego holiday adventures? Then check out our previous post on Legoland California hotel.
