Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria is expecting her first baby, the fourth for her husband, José Bastón.

“Fat on a boat”

The actor is four months pregnant with a baby boy, with Eva’s rep spilling the happy baby news to Us Weekly.

The couple must be delighted to welcome a sibling for José, Tali and Mariana, Jose’s children with ex-wife Natalia Esperón.

Some fans had thought Eva was pregnant earlier in the year, but it wasn’t the case with the actor taking to Snapchat to debunk their theories.

“I saw some pictures of myself [looking] really fat on a boat. I have to tell you, all I did was eat cheese. So that’s the news of the day. I’m not pregnant, just eating a lot of cheese, a lot of wine, a lot of pancakes.”

“Everybody is saying I’m pregnant and I’m not. I was just lactose intolerant apparently. I just had to share because my whole family is calling me asking if I’m pregnant. Yes, I look pregnant, but it was just a ball of cheese, a ball of cheese in my stomach,” she said.

“But seriously, I looked so fat, but you know what? That happens to people. Everybody gets bloated. I’m not bloated today, but this is pre-pancake. I’m about to go eat a pancake.”

It’s all in the timing

The tables have apparently now turned away from cheese, pancakes and assorted other dairy-infused snacks – and towards the new little life Eva and Jose are due to welcome in 2018.

The couple were married Mexico in 2016, at the time saying they weren’t in a hurry to have babies.

“We have a family,” Longoria said in June 2016 when she was asked if babies were on the horizon. “Three kids, so we’re just continuing with our family we have now and waiting.”

It seems they have waited long enough! Congratulations to Eva and Jose!
