Eiermann Table – vintage modernist chic

eiermanntable.jpg

Get your kids an
Eiermann Table
for work and play. A replica of the 1953 original and now
produced by Lampert,
this kid-sized, sparse beauty is fashioned from metal tubes placed at
angles for structural integrity and topped with melamine for
durability. Designed by German modernist architect Egon Eiermann, his
designs across the board are sleek, minimalist, and they
revolutionised
post-war aesthetics with their skeletal frames.

The height of the table is adjustable from 55-72cm, making it
suitable from about four years of age. It would make a wonderfully
simple addition to a child’s room and could be adorned with much loved
items, a small posy of flowers, as well as those essential
art and writing implements.

There is also a work bench option in oiled, solid beech and there is a
choice of white or silver for the undercarriage of
the table. We modern parents sure do like our options!
