You know the line from that Tom Cruise-Renée Zellweger flick, the one that goes “you had me at hello”? That’s exactly how you’re about to feel about Eeni Meeni Miini Moh’s new autumn/ winter 2014 collection for babies and kids.

From the moment I clapped eyes on the very first outfit in Eeni’s enfant collection, I knew that I would be falling head-over-heels crazy in love with their new season range, just released today. And so, I’m sure, will you.

I don’t know how they do it, but every season Eeni manages to up the ante on their previous collection. Which just goes to show that, despite what the pundits say, it is absolutely possible to improve on perfection.

The enfant collection brings Eeni’s signature jumpsuits, with their cute-as-a-button knotted beanies in the softest, babiest-friendly cottons, to a new level of oh-my-God-adorable. This time Eeni’s design team have conjured up stripes and spots in delicious shades of sorbet, tangerine and fudge, with some little-boy-blues thrown in for good measure. The enfant range also spans dresses, cardigans, leggings, long sleeve tees and bodysuits, with plenty of squee-worthy ruffles here, there and just about everywhere for the girls.

Now take a look at what Eeni Meeni have in mind this autumn and winter for the toddler to preschooler set. Be warned – you might just die from the sheer cuteness of it all.

The same shades of sorbet and tangerine are at work here too in the children’s collection, along with a veritable larder of other colours – sarsparilla, eggshell, gingernut, biscuit, olive and sherbet among them – as well as plenty of winter blues.

The one thing I’ve come to expect for little girls in EMMM’s seasonal collections are dresses to die for, and here they are again this winter in knitted, woven and jersey styles. The baby doll dress with its paisley trim and heart-shaped pockets (below left in blue) is my favourite, but there’s no shortage of frocks – variously trimmed with frills, pompoms, paisley, spots and stripes – to ooh and aah over. Mix and match as you choose with leggings, skeggings, jackets, tops and contrasting headbands for the best-dressed little girls this side of the Equator.

Now each EMMM collection has one stand-out piece for girls that you simply must have or instead spend the next several months slumped in a fashion-fuelled malaise. This time round it’s the poncho-style cape with fun pom pom ties (pictured above right).

And then, oh, the boys. The lucky, lucky boys! Eeni have crafted a range for them this time round that is impossibly perfect in every single way. It runs the gamut from street level cool – my god, that Captain Fearless hoodie! – to preppy perfection with knits, shirts and chinos. This winter the EMMM designers are exploring an eclectic mix of superheroes, abominable snowmen, insects, tractors, foxes and dinosaurs. Yes, it might not make much sense on paper, but believe us, it all works! The other secret ingredient that makes this such a winner for boys is EMMM”s comfy ribbed waists, not just on trackies but even on the pants where you’d never expect or suspect it.

Tween cool comes into its own with e3-M’s offerings for the slightly older set. Expect the same colour palette and the same attention to detail and beautiful-to-the-touch fabrics, only pared back for a simpler aesthetic. There’s jackets, leggings, denim, pants, track pants, dresses and all manner of long-sleeved tops. While e3-M is wildly popular amongst tweens (and their parents) for  its edgier styling, it also comes in smaller sizes too.

Here’s the other thing you need to know about EMMM, the reason we hold them in such esteem here at Babyology. Their designs are always their own – they never copy, they never follow. They simply and consistently create something original and amazing, then run with it – which is something like the ethos I have for my kids. Hmmm, maybe that’s why I like to put my tribe in Eeni clothes!

Now before I go, I need to show you that other thing that EMMM does so incredibly well – children’s underwear and sleepwear. All natural fibres mean no itching and scratching and a peaceful night’s sleep for everyone. See? So many reasons to love this fab Australian label.
