I’ve had my eye on the Eeboo Alphabet wall cards for a while, and now that I’ve seen the exquisite Counting Birds wall cards, I just know they’re perfect for me and mine.
The birds remind me of those painted by the wonderful Charley Harper, a favourite artist of mine. Given that Eeboo only uses artwork of well-known illustrators, I would hazard a guess that they are the work of Harper, although despite my best efforts, I couldn’t find information on it.
Wall cards are a deliciously traditional child’s learning aid which also serve as pretty artworks for the wall. I’m tempted to get both the ABC and Counting versions. Also available are the Hardware and ‘All Around the Land’ Alphabet set.
Eeboo also makes games, and Pin the Tail on the Donkey would be perfect for my son’s upcoming party! The Picnic Game is another lovely little amusement which includes a real picnic blanket and teaches concepts about categories and encourages decision-making. The artwork on each Eeboo piece is always charming so your kids are sure to bond on first sight!
