Sometimes we come across a children’s clothing range that’s so gorgeous it gets us thinking we should learn to knit. But then we think, nah. Leave it to the pros, like Eco Peko, Australian makers of the most darling, fine merino knitwear.
Inspired by the Australian bush at dusk, Eco Peko’s range is all muted colours like dusty pink, oatmeal, peach and navy. There are soft baby blankets ($269) perfect for baby shower gifts, hooded cardies and slouchy leggings ($129) with oversized twinkling stars, or our favourite, the ponchos ($249) with contrasting hoods and hem binding, knitted with the rosy cheeked, smiling face of a koala on the front.
The koala faces also make an appearance on the toes of Eco Peko’s cosy sheepskin boots ($219). The boots come in sand, tan and charcoal. Designed to follow the curves of the foot, Eco Peko’s boots hug the ankle and have a velcro fastening to hold them in place.
Proudly made by talented Australian craftspeople, Eco Peko is available online and ships in Australia for $10.
