I follow a philosophy which has served me well with three children, and it is simply this – a new baby means a new nappy bag.
If you, like me, always have one eye open for the bag which might become your next nappy bag, then you’ll be pleased to hear that German made Lässig bags have come to our shores. It’s a happy turn-around from when we first came across Lässig at Playtime Paris earlier this year, only to find they weren’t available in Australia.
Lässig nappy bags come in five main styles, and within those, what seems an almost infinite number of designs. They have all the bells and whistles that are standard in most high-end nappy bags these days (change mats, bottle holders, pouches, compartments and hooks) but they also have a few nifty additions. The bags in the Gold range are reversible, with one side patterned and the other solid, and the Casual Messenger bags (above, right) have switchable front flaps so you can change their look.
The insides of the bags are removable so once your nappy-toting days are over, your time with the bag doesn’t need to be.
Lässig also have a fresh and funky range of kids’ bags in backpack and mini messenger styles. All the bags are eco-friendly, totally pollutant-free and without nickel or PVC or any other nasties you’ll want to avoid.
Prices for the nappy bags begin at $149.95 and all the kids’ bags are $49.95. To find your nearest stockist, call their hotline on 1300 661 885.
But really, I think three kids is enough for me. No, really. Probably.
