Ding! Ding! Passing on the right – bicycle bells

bells1

When I was little, summer twilight hours were spent cruising the street on our bikes with other kids from the neighbourhood. And nothing said more about you than your bike accessories – a basket with plastic flowers, handlebar streamers, Spokey-Dokes, or a cool seat like the fancy orange glitter and white vinyl trim on my brother’s roadster.

A new generation of cool bike riders might like to check out the bells at Pylones. These are the snazziest bells you’re likely to find. Made in France by Créa Créa and finished with baked-on enamel (the same as car duco), these bells will provide many years of letting people know to move out of your way! There are thirteen designs to choose from including a glow-in-the-dark skeleton – I like the ladybird and the dotty designs the best.

Bells are $19 and can be shipped internationally.

She now fills her time with writing, completing a degree in genetics and taxiing her children around Melbourne to their various sporting commitments (not necessarily in that order).
