Dear Zoo goes digital for iPad

There’s one book that I reckon I could recite in my sleep, even years after last reading it. That book is the toddler’s classic, Dear Zoo.

Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell is a must-have. The short, simple story and the sturdy lift-the-flap format is a winner with kids from as young as age one.

Dear Zoo has recently gone digital with the release of the Dear Zoo iPad app. Swap lifting-the-flaps for trumpeting elephants and swinging monkeys – it’s the same story we all know (by heart) and love with the addition of some neat animal animations and noisy sound effects.

Dear Zoo iPad app is available via iTunes for $2.99. It is suitable for children aged eighteen months and over. If you would like an ‘old-school’ version of Dear Zoo, head over to Book Depository.

She now fills her time with writing, completing a degree in genetics and taxiing her children around Melbourne to their various sporting commitments (not necessarily in that order).
