Expectant dad-of-three and soccer legend, Cristiano Ronaldo, lost his father back in 2005. The sportsman paid tribute to his dad over the weekend, via a sweet Instagram post, and he got a little bit of help from his own kids.
The photo, shared on Instagram, shows Ronaldo and kids posing in front of a portrait of his late father, José Dinis Aveiro.
“You will always be with us,” Ronaldo captioned the shot, which also featured praying hands and a heart emoji.
Ronaldo lost his father to alcoholism-related disease when he was just 20. It’s possibly a contributing factor to his own complete avoidance of alcohol, and the loss may just be the catalyst for the star’s determination to grow his own family thick and fast.
Ronaldo is now dad to 7-year-old Cristiano Junior and 3-month-old twins, reportedly named Mateo and Eva.
Chatter has swirled about just how the soccer star has grown his family, with reports that these three children were all born thanks to surrogacy. We’re guessing if he wanted the public to know, he would have spoken out.
Baby on the way
Media outlet El Mundo, recently confirmed that Ronaldo was expecting another fourth child with model Georgina Rodriguez. When asked if he was happy to be expecting another baby, the Real Madrid star told the outlet,“Yes, very much.”
There’d been much speculation, prior to this, as Georgina’s blooming bump was in very plain sight on Instagram. El Mundo’s report was the first official confirmation that team Ronaldo is about to grow again. When the outlet quizzed him about his new baby twins, he was equally excited. “They are precious. I am delighted,” he said. “I’m happy!”
Mum-to-be Georgina spoke to Spanish-language magazine ¡Hola! about the baby the pair are expecting together.
“I’m very family oriented, I love kids, nature and animals,” she shared. “I like to surround myself with those who inspire me to be a better person every day and who have good energy,” Georgina said.
