A couple have spotted the image of Jesus in their baby’s ultrasound image and while they’re seeing it as a sign their baby is blessed, we’re wondering if it looks more like ex-Nirvana/Foo Fighters’ member Dave Grohl… What do you think?!
US couple Alicia Zeek and Zac Smith aren’t particularly religious, but when they spotted a figure watching over their baby in the ultrasound image of their third child, they considered themselves slightly spiritually swayed.
“To me, it’s Jesus. And it looks like Jesus,” Alicia told Fox43.
“There’s another face looking at my daughter,” dad-of-three Zac agreed. “When I seen it, it almost brought tears to my eyes. I was speechless, I just couldn’t believe it, I really didn’t believe what I was seeing.”
Now is probably not the best time to raise the whole Dave Grohl thing with them, we admit…
“The ultrasound was done at 34 weeks gestation to check everything due to baby measuring big and mother having high blood pressure issues,” Zac told his Facebook followers, confirming Alicia had her scan at Chambersburg Hospital on August 1.
Third time’s a charm
The “Jesus face” in their baby’s scan has a very special meaning for this couple. The Pennsylvania pair’s first two babies both had some health challenges (but they’re fine now!), and they admit they were nervous about the wellbeing of baby number three, especially considering her size and Alicia’s blood pressure concerns.
The shadowy figure in daughter Briella’s scans seemed to be sending them a message of comfort and reassurance, they say.
“I blinked a lot, to make sure I was really seeing it,” Alicia admitted.
Zac was instantly convinced that the scan revealed their baby had a kind of guardian angel, and that everything was going to be okay.
“When [the ultrasound technician] said everything was good, and we looked at the picture I was like, ‘look babe, we have nothing to worry about.'”
Alicia didn’t need any convincing. She gave birth to her healthy baby girl, Briella, and feels sure that the Jesus figure helped make this happen.
“The angel or God or Jesus, however you want to propose it, I look at it as my blessing,” Alicia said.
Or it could be a Dave Grohl kind of blessing, right? That could be a thing too?
