Prepare for another day of Play School fun as their 50th birthday celebrations continue with three more Aussie icons heading to the ABC set for the Play School Celebrity Covers mini series.
Tomorrow you will be delighted as two of our favourite past presenters and one of our most colourful Aussie comedians bring their timeless and hilarious antics to Australia’s longest running television program.
Mums and dads, boys and girls, babies and toddlers, put your hands together for the one and only Tim Minchin, who has happily made the trek back to Australia (from L.A) to take a seat on the Play School stage.
Watch as the musician/comedian/actor behind the brilliant Matilda the Musical ditches the eyeliner in favour of his reading glasses and enchants us all with The Bunyip of Berkeley’s Creek. With two little ones at home (daughter Violet and son Caspar), and a role in Dreamwork’s upcoming movie, Larrikins (with an all-Aussie voice cast), Tim’s clearly had some practice in the land of literacy. We can’t wait to watch one of Aussie’s icons take the Play School set.
Then, at 5pm Benita Collings and Don Spencer join forces again for Little Peter Rabbit. The dynamic duo not only hold the record for two of the longest-running Play School presenters, but they also opened the mini series on Monday, 5 July 2016.
Stay tuned every afternoon as Babyology reports on what celebrities are starring next or check out the full program guide. Also check out the program’s official birthday launch on 18 July 2016 at 6:30pm with a collection of mini episodes.
