Come fly with me

Choosing a backpack to take to kinder is like a three-year-old’s rite of passage. We all know our accessories speak volumes, so it was only fair that I blocked out a good half hour in store as my son pondered his choice of kinder bag. Mainstream character? Understated but funky pattern? Football team? I was gently pushing him in the direction of the retro-styled striped bag, but I didn’t get my way.

Needless to say, if my son had laid eyes on the razzle dazzle of Zid Zid’s Plane Backpack, none of the others would have been considered. It’s glitzy and it’s cool. I’m not sure how it would go holding the small truckload of stuff we drag to and from kinder but hey, who cares when it looks this good! (I know I’ve certainly had my share of impractical bags over the years but if they look fab, you make it work)

The plane backpack is $80 and is available from Red Chilli Designs. For those that prefer the safety of staying on the ground, there is also a bus backpack and cars in a range of colours.

Red Chilli Designs also carry a large range of Zid Zid cushions and ottomans. We’ve reviewed the cushions before at Babyology but the current range of animals and birds is worth another peek.

Katrina studied planning and design, did the hard yards working in a big office building and then traded it all in for a relaxing (!) life at home with four children. She now fills her time with writing, completing a degree in genetics and taxiing her children around Melbourne to their various sporting commitments (not necessarily in that order).
