Co-ordinating Heaven

So you’re planning the nursery and you want it to be perfect, right down to the very last detail. Plus you want a theme – where else can you get away with pastel woodland creatures or little lady bugs, except the nursery?! For everything that is themed and coordinated, look no further than Rooms By You.

At Rooms By You, you’re able to customise nursery textile products on demand. Choose from eighty coordinated collections or upload your own artwork. Customise quilts, baby blankets, changing pads, pillows, cot bedding, nappy stackers and more. Once you have chosen your designs you can get a good idea of how it will look using the ‘3D Room Customizer’.

I don’t have a nursery to plan but I love playing with these kinds of things so I got busy adding a lamp shade here, a quilt there, a nappy stacker in the corner and finally picked out some wall art. Overall I went a little matchy matchy mad but had a lot of fun in the process.

There are classic and contemporary designs to choose from – I like Georgana Moolva’s Turtle Doodle design in cool blues and greens and Lisa VenVertloh’s acid orange and pink Hippie Baby featuring Combi vans. However for me, the standout is undoubtedly the stunning Astro Rocker and Apollo Alphabet designs from Kim Gledhill – rocket ship toile coordinated with thick stripes and solid blues in various hues – perfect! The same designs but in olive green with orange accents – stunning!

The Rooms By You site also includes a retail calculator to keep track of the running total cost (I’m not a fan, but it’s the sort of thing my husband would think is a top idea) and rooms can be used to create a registry. Coming soon are options for designing rooms for kids, teens and others as well.

Rooms By You is based in the US and they do ship to Australia.
