A very good friend of mine has just moved into a new house and is searching for inventive and humourous wall decals for her daughter’s playroom. So I couldn’t wait to send on the link to Parisian design duo Paristic, which was passed on to us here at Babyology by one of our readers (thank you Beth!).

The company makes large scale matt vinyl stickers, many with a French urban theme, which can be easily applied to walls (including skirtings, corners and mouldings), doors and windows.

You can choose from the Paris skyline as viewed through a window, wrought iron detailing, or have a lifesize zebra next to your bed. Or for the nursery there’s everything from space invaders and fire-breathing dragons to the Paris Metro map being invaded by Pacman. On a gentler note you could opt for a huge bunch of balloons or a steam train. My personal favourite is the Chrysler building (hey, at least I could pretend I live in New York).

The manufacturer assures the stickers are easy to apply and no traces will be left on walls or windows if you decide to peel them off. They come in black, white and nine other colours.

Stickers in the Kids and Big Kids range start at around $17.50 and go up to $150 (depending on the size and detail) plus shipping costs.
