We know Babyology has many devoted cargo bike fans. We’ve shown you a number of different cargo bikes over the years even though more often than not, these beauties aren’t available in Australia (I guess they’re not exactly light to ship!).
Thankfully PSbikes, based in the Melbourne suburb of Yarraville, has Aussies covered when it comes to cargo bikes. Stocking the most popular European cargo bike, the Christiania bike, PS Bikes happily delivers all over Australia (and some of the stories about where the bikes have been delivered are gorgeous).
Christiania bikes are designed with families in mind – it’s suitable for transporting children of all ages (including newborns) and the wooden box on the front of the bike is simple to adapt to suit growing families (various seat combinations, seatbelts for all ages and hoods and covers are available).
PSbikes has recently introduced the S/Box to their Christiania bike range. The S/Box is made to transport wheelchairs allowing kids of all abilities to feel the wind in their hair and enjoy a bike ride. The S/Box is particularly good for families where, because of a wheelchair, transport is otherwise restricted to the car.
The three-wheeled Model Light Christiania bike (great for transporting kids) is $3400 and is available in five colours. The S/Box is $4250 and also comes in five colours. PSbikes delivers all over Australia – contact them directly to talk specifics!
