Chris Hemsworth and his kids playing superheroes is our new screensaver

Chris Hemsworth

A shirtless, caped Mr Hemsworth is every dad playing Superman with his kiddos… except that he’s not, because THOR!

Your dad is Thor?!

Seriously, it’s going to be pretty amazing when these kiddos get to school age and their pals let them know that their dad is a bit of a legend, isn’t it?!

Fast-forward a couple of years and we’re predicting dropped-jaws at kindergarten and some pretty probing questions about how Dad navigates everyday life.

Chris and wife Elsa seem to lead a pretty down-to-earth life in Byron Bay, so their kids are sheltered from the whole Hollywood superstar business at present. The couple are careful never to show their kids’ faces on social media, either.

Noise and mess

Elsa posted this (very adorable) snap of Chris and two of their kids going full superhero and it not only encompasses the caped-crusader-action-shot brilliantly, we can pretty much feel the super-powers through the screen.

It’s so cute to catch a glimpse of life at Chez Hemsworth. It looks a bit noisy and a bit messy, which is just how you’d expect things to be.

Whirlwind romance

33-year-old Hemsworth and model and actor Elsa Pataky began dating in 2010, marrying shortly after. The couple have three children together, 4-year-old India Rose and 2-year-old twins, Tristan and Sasha.

“In the space of three years, we had our kids and simultaneously my career was happening, and everything changed,” Chris told Parade Magazine.

Having kids prompted a privacy rethink and a move further away from the spotlight, for the kids’ sake.

“We’d leave the house and there would be six paparazzi out in front. In L.A., more than anywhere else in the world, paparazzi are everywhere, 24/7. We felt suffocated,” he explained.

The pair moved from LA to Australia in response.

Ask your mum

Chris admits that he’s turned to his mum on more than one occasion, when it comes to parenting advice.

“A couple years ago I asked my mum… ‘How are my kids going to learn good values? We now have money; how do I raise them to appreciate things?’ She said, ‘I don’t think money matters as long as you love your kids.’”
