While some enjoy a leisurely saunter with a prettily primped puppy on a lead, actor Jennifer Garner prefers a chicken walk with a tethered, feathery mean girl. We can’t say we blame her. #Bawk

If there isn't a Chicken Lady Day 🐣, there really should be. Man, my life gets more exciting all the time. —– Meet one of our ladies, 🐔Regina George. Jennifer Garner has kindly given us our feathery feel-good story of the week. She posted this ridiculously adorable pic to Instagram Tuesday, revealing her life has hit exciting new heights – and that a bunch of lady chooks are her new besties.
Jen says this particular (stylishly harnessed) member of her flock – named Regina George – is more cow than chicken, but she’s learning to cope with her mean girl ways.
“If there isn’t a Chicken Lady Day, there really should be,” Jen posted. “Man, my life gets more exciting all the time. Meet one of our ladies, Regina George. Regina loves long walks, dehydrated bugs, and kale. Regina hates….carbs.”
For those unsure of the significance of this name, Regina George is an unkind character in the classic movie, Mean Girls.
“Regina … is controlling, deceiving, belittling and mean, capable of doing everything in her power to get what she wants,” Mean Girls fans reveal.
Tellingly, Jen hashtagged the shot with “#shesanicechickenbutaMeanGirl #MeanGirlsthemovie #ithinkshehasaburnbook“. It’s a less-than-subtle cry for help, re her harnessed pal’s testy temperament, we think.
It’s not known how many chooks Jen is keeping in her coop, but we’ll be keeping our ear to the ground for further beaky updates.
Jen is long-separated from actor Ben Affleck. The pair have three children together – Violet, Seraphina and Sam – and while they split back in 2015, they are not yet divorced.
A tardy latecomer to the joys of social media Jen launched her personal Instagram account just 8 weeks ago. If this delightful chick pic is anything to go by, we’re in for many more bolstering updates.
