Forget throwing an old sheet over the kitchen table – here is what all the cool kids are “camping” in.
While there is something rather charming about the make-believe indoor tent made from sheets and whatever else may be laying around, it does create somewhat of an eyesore. I usually don’t mind creating childhood chaos, but there are times when we prefer our homes to look a little more presentable. Here is a stylish solution to the mess that can be indoor camping.
Hats off to Babyology reader Carly for bringing this wonderful Australian business to our attention. Such Great Heights creates a collection of beautifully crafted Wonder Tents. They not only look sublime when erect, but pack flat in their own waterproof bag. They are, in no uncertain terms, the children’s equivalent of “glamping“.
The timber components of the kids’ tents are made from sustainably-sourced West Australian karri and jarrah hardwood, and the pieces are hand shaped. The base plate is specifically designed to resemble a worn step, adding to the character and making sure it’s super safe for little feet to tread on.
The tent is made from medium weight cotton canvas – and take a look at the beautiful options available. They include animal print, khaki, wildflowers and pink hexagons. When erect the tents are 115cm high, and 116cm long. Wonder Tents cost $249 each and postage within Australia is $15.
