My husband has recently acquired a book which has convinced him that he can teach our seven-month-old baby to read. Consequently, I keep discovering homemade flash cards around the house and catching him sitting with her and prompting, “What does Daddy like to drink? That’s right, COFFEE!”. I am dubious, to say the least. Perhaps a good compromise might be these gorgeous rattles?
Made from beautiful soft velour, and machine-washable, as all chewable soft toys should be, they are from Barnvanligt, a Swedish company we have previously gushed over! They are a good size for chubby little hands to grab and have plenty of those little tags on them that we all know babies like to dribble on.
They cost just under €9 each, which means I can pick up all the letters to spell out COFFEE (and lots of other words too).
You can buy them directly from Barnvanligt, who will ship to Australia – if you want to order one or two rattles, just select ‘Europe Small’ for freight and you’ll pay only about AUD$13 in post!
