A new European children’s label that focuses on comfort and informal style? Yes, that certainly makes us happy!
It’s Little Man Happy, a Berlin-based label started earlier this year by parents Sven Bergander and Ivonne Budimir after the birth of their own little man. With backgrounds between them in the fashion and interior design arenas, they were well placed to bring their ideas about children’s fashion to life.
Like so many great labels, those ideas were all based around easy to wear basics for kids with a very distinct and clean look – lots of black and white, contrasted with pastels and subtle colours, and plenty of simple graphic motifs combined with clear shapes that children can identify with and respond to. And don’t let the name fool you, these are clothes designed for boys and for girls.
Since so much of the label is about everyday wearable essentials, it’s no surprise that leggings, rompers and tees dominate the range. If the weather gets colder, they have long sleeved windcheaters to throw over everything as well. The label outfits kids from birth to six years, and prices begin around €18 for long-sleeved tees and rompers. You can see the whole range and buy directly at Little Man Happy.
