American songstress and busy mum, Kelly Clarkson, has revealed that her two pregnancies were both so awful that she’s not having any more kids and has even taken medical steps to make sure it definitely doesn’t happen again.
“Those tubes are gone!”
During an interview this week on US radio show, KTU’s Cubby and Carolina in the Morning, Kelly was asked by the hosts if she had any plans to grow her family to which she had a very candid and frank response.
“Oh god, those tubes are gone! That’s blasphemy. We don’t even speak of it. We’re both fixed in our own ways, yet still we’ll probably get pregnant again somehow,” she said.
A full house
Kelly has two children with her husband of almost four years, Brandon Blackstock – a daughter River Rose (3) and son Remington (17 months). Brandon also has two other children (Seth and Savannah) from a previous relationship so the house is already pretty full; on top of Kelly having such a tough time during pregnancy.
“I always feel bad because I have friends who have a hard time getting pregnant and I’m just like guys, I have the worst pregnancies ever, it can’t happen again!” she added.
Putting a stop to it
This isn’t the first time that Kelly has admitted she’s done with having babies either. Last year on The Jenny McCarthy Show on SiriusXM she revealed she made her hubby get a vasectomy before even giving birth to her second child.
“I was literally pregnant with Remi, and I was like, ‘You are getting fixed. This will never happen to me again,’” the singer told the host. Not content with just Brandon having the snip, Kelly then had her Fallopian tubes tied also.
“If something happens, it’s a miracle of God,” she told Jenny McCarthy. “I literally told my OBGYN on the table while open, ‘If I get pregnant again, I will find you!'”
You can never be too careful
While some find pregnancy beautiful, for others like Kelly it’s a terrible journey. And although many women have a very hard time falling pregnant, obviously for Kelly and Brandon they’re the dream team when it comes to conceiving – hence the need for two medical procedures to put a stop to their super effective baby-making ways.
When you consider that contraception and procedures like vasectomies do often fail, and the fact that you can even get pregnant when you’re already pregnant – well I guess Kelly could be on to something here.
You can never be too careful after all!
