It is heartbreaking to see a child struggling with a neurological condition and we often wonder if there is anything we can do to help. For the month of June, we can! And it’s as easy as buying a much-loved Aussie product.
Former Olympic swimmer Michael Klim and his model wife, Lindy, have decided to use their skincare company Milk & Co to raise some much needed cash for charity. They will donate $1 from the sale of every bottle of their Milk Baby Bath Time Wash or Milk Baby Shampoozle & Conditioner to Brainwave Australia, a charity that supports families of children with neurological conditions.
Brainwave Australia is Australia’s only children’s charity that supports the families of children with neurological conditions including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, tumours and acquired brain injuries.
Michael and Lindy’s dedication to Brainwave started before they became parents and is nothing short of inspiring. Michael tells Babyology, “Now, having three children, I realise how lucky we are that they are all healthy. That makes us want to do even more. Many of the children affected will require numerous operations and expensive equipment, so anything we can do to help is really important us.”
Of the Klims, Brainwave’s General Manager Caroline Scully says, “They’re the real deal – warm people who love kids and regularly take time out of their own busy lives to come along to family days and fundraising events year in, year out. Their positive impact on our children and families is profound.”
The funds raised by Milk & Co will go towards much-needed programs including mobility and rehabilitation and ongoing therapies and family events which provide emotional support and promote social inclusion. Find out more about how you can help through Brainwave Australia.
