Two high-profile mums announced their babies over the weekend, which pretty much makes it a celebrity baby news bonanza, in our books! Let us tell you more…

Tori Spelling

Mum-of-five, actor Tori Spelling and her partner Dean McDermott welcomed their baby boy on Friday. This is lucky, because Tori had looked painfully ready to pop for weeks now – and had seemed to be pregnant for about two years.

Tori took to Instagram to share her family’s exciting news:

“It’s a Boy!!! We are so excited to announce the birth of the newest member of the McDermott family! Please join us in welcoming Beau Dean McDermott. 03/02/17, 1:48 PM.” Tori posted alongside an uber cute shot of her little guy holding hands with his dad.

Beau is baby brother to 18-year-old Jack (from Dean’s previous marriage), 9-year-old Liam, 8-year-old Stella, 5-year-old Hattie and 4-year-old Finn.

Natalie Portman

Nat and husband Benjamin Millepied have welcomed a baby girl – back on February 22.

They’ve kept a lid on the birth for a week or so, which is always a nice idea when you’re trying to get on with the business of nesting privately. No Instagram announcements for the Portman-Millepieds.

Amalia is little sister to the couple’s son, 5-year-old Aleph.

Portman’s rep released an official statement which read as follows, according to the celebrity oracle aka People Magazine.

“Natalie Portman and her husband Benjamin Millepied welcomed a baby girl, Amalia Millepied, on Feb. 22. Mother and baby are happy and healthy.”

A huge Babyology congrats to these two families. They could not approach public life and parenthood any differently, but we are guessing they feel just the same about their new additions – smitten!
