Bugaboo Bee Plus release dates announced – plus new Bugaboo iPhone accessory and Bee designer interview

You can now mark on your calendars the release of the Bugaboo Bee plus – the official timings for both northern and southern hemispheres have been announced! Us southerners are in for a longer wait than the northerners – the Bugaboo Bee Plus is scheduled for an April release there compared with our summer 2010 release.

Those freshly pregnant can breath a sigh of relief whilst I’m sure those due earlier will be doing all they can to secure one from overseas. We first told you about the new version of the Bee earlier in March, outlining the vast improvements Bugaboo has made to the original.

Here is a really interesting article which walks us through the changes of the the Bugaboo Bee and how Bugaboo designer Jaap den Boer came up with them.

Now iPhone addicts need not go a second without it within eye-shot, even when out walking with baby! Suitable for every model of Bugaboo pram ever made, this will be the must-have Bug accessory this year. It amazes me that even two and a half years ago, being able to do so much from your pram handle was unthinkable! You can backorder one now from Babycare, who expect stock near the end of April and ship internationally.

Being avid followers of the Bugaboo(RED) charity project we were impressed to learn that Bugaboo has generated enough funds to provide nearly 15,000 women with the medicine required for decreasing risk of infection to their children. All this in just five months! We celebrate this admirable effort in which Bugaboo continues to donate one per cent of all revenue to the Global Fund to help the fight against AIDS in Africa.

Bugaboo aficionados may want to read over our past Bugaboo articles. We’ve certainly amassed quite a few in our time.
