Remember Bedazzlers? They were first released in the 70s and had a resurgence in the 1980s, when clothing blinged to within an inch of its life was the in thing. Here’s a toned-down version for the 21st century.
If your kids’ sneakers and shoes need a little livening up, or they enjoy crafting, you can’t go wrong with a pack of Stickcons.
They’re a simple concept, and the fact they won’t stick to damp or dirty surfaces means you can get the kids to clean their shoes as a bonus. Once the shoes are clean and dry, simply attach the pre-glued rhinestones to the shoes (they come as self-adhesive sticker strips), and give them a few hours for the glue to stick properly before wearing.
Stickcons are billed as a temporary decoration, as we know how rough and tumble kids can be with their shoes. They cost €11.95 plus shipping to Australia for a pack of two side panels and two front panels.
