Gone are the days of tent-wearing pregnant women and uncomfortably-dressed nursing mums. And what mum wouldn’t be just a little bit curious about such an aptly-named company, Boob Design. We have one of our wonderful international Babyology readers to thank for this find, Belgian mum-of-one Sofie drew our attention to this brilliant Swedish collection of maternity, nursing and baby wear.
There’s a charming story that goes with this label. Founder Mia Seipel watched her sister nurse her newborn son on a chilly autumn day in Stockholm, bare-waisted in the icy northern wind. And so the seed of an idea formed, which would eventually become Boob nursing wear.
One of Boob’s signatures is the Magic Maternity Tube, which can be worn as a long or short dress, skirt, top or belly tube. Made from a soft knitted stretch fabric, it looks comfy and most important of all, holds everything in place.
The Waterfall Nursing Top is one of those rare feeding garments that doesn’t actually look like a nursing top, and can also be worn comfortably during pregnancy.
Boob has expanded beyond nursing and maternity wear into baby clothing, with the current range featuring gorgeous polka dots and gingham prints. Boob Design is available online for shoppers throughout the European Union, while Australians can check out local stockists here.
