Playtime Paris tradeshow is turning 10, and this season, like the 10 seasons before it, there’s a line-up of international designers of impeccably stylish gear for kids and parents. Five hundred international designers to be precise.
It’s all happening over the weekend of 2 July until 4 July, and we’re impatiently waiting to see what the designers are showing. Some are old favourites, and some are new, but either way, this looks to be a brilliant show. Here are a few of the brands we’re anticipating.
Oeuf is previewing a new collection inspired by Mexican folklore and colours. The designers have teamed up with French illustrator, Marie Assénat, who dreamed up the animal characters that hop and slink and crawl across the fabrics.
Another old favourite of ours is Latvian designer Paade Mode. The current season is a huge departure from the old-fashioned, beautifully embroidered dresses of past seasons. Designs have gone in a modern direction, with tangerine and pale coral shift dresses, skinny khaki shorts and loose knit, oversized jumpers. Regardless of the style though, Paade Mode’s attention to quality never waivers.
Last on the list is a new designer called Anchovy. It uses technology to design, but not in a way we’ve ever seen before. Anchovy has an app that designers use to type in words, and the words create a gradient of colours which gets printed on fabric and made into flowing garments.
We’ll be back soon to wrap up the Playtime Paris weekend and let you in on a full list of our favourites.
