Bloom – the genius of a foldable cot plus new colours

bloomalma1.jpg

Now why didn’t I think of that? The Bloom Alma Urban is a foldable cot for newborns and up to two years old. Many children move to a different bed by age two, so this little invention is sure to be super popular, especially for those living in cosy flats or in places with very little storage. Just look at how tiny it folds!

We saw these amazing compact cots in February at the Kids InStyle show and I have to say they were a standout product for me, have a look at the video. As the idea of the family home is slowly being revolutionised, so too is furniture design. Modern parents are choosing more compact spaces in which to raise families, either by choice or necessity. The once extended family which resided together, now resides in separate spaces. Take the Alma to the grandparent’s place, use it as a co-sleeper bed for those early days, use two for twins in the same room. The Alma will fit every lifestyle and occasion in  performance, looks and eco-friendly construction.

Have a look at a demo on how the Alma folds and unfolds and how easy it seems to be.

It’s $799 in your choice of white or green – mattress additional $99, from Urban Baby.
