I recently took my three boys to Scienceworks in Melbourne. I expected to be home by lunchtime, but instead we arrived six hours later – totally exhausted, excited and full of news about what we’d seen, most significantly the Planetarium.
Anyone with little boys can tell you that when they become enthused about something, it often turns into a full-blown obsession and the whole family ends up living and breathing dinosaurs or fire engines or in our case, outer space.
SO, if you have a little rocket man (or girl) on your hands, look no further than Space Kids. The costume space suits are truly amazing. Space suits come in white or orange and feature NASA cloth patches, harness buckles and a padded collar – authentic to the last detail! Your little astronaut can also accessorise with a matching helmet and backpack.
To complete the experience, don’t forget to check out the range of astronaut food, including freeze dried fruits and ice cream – the ice cream literally melts in your mouth and certainly impressed my kids.
Space Kids offers loads of other outer space items, from very cute astronaut pyjamas and t-shirts to huge inflatable shuttles and sleek rocket pendant lights.
Space Kids ships to Australia by arrangement.
