Belly hooping? This mumma-to-be masters the hula hoop, baby bump and all

Baby bumps are great for so many things – resting a book, holding a tea cup, getting a seat on a crowded bus. But we never thought of using your bump for this. Watch as this mumma-to-be works the hula hoop in a belly dance that is truly entrancing to watch.

Dancing while pregnant seems to be the norm these days. We’ve showcased plenty of amazing mums working the camera with their awesome dance moves, from in the studio to in the labour ward.

Belly hooping??? So excited I finally got it down. 😂😂Major Lazer – Be Together feat. Wild Belle*** So it's said, my baby girl has been born. A beautiful, healthy 8 lb bundle of love. ***I want to suggest that if you've ever wanted to hoop, please give it a go. I got this hoop from HiptronicArts on Etsy. Its a 5/8th poly 33in. But 23-year-old Elizabeth Mitchell-Kumpf takes it up a notch by using a prop – a hula hoop. With the assistance of her 31-week pregnant belly, Elizabeth impresses the Internet by swinging the hoop round and round.

It looks like a great workout for both mum and her bub, who Elizabeth refers to as Ivy on her Facebook page. According to Infinite Circles, an online community of hula hoopers, “Hooping is great exercise for when you are pregnant. Low impact, fun and your kids love it too!”

The video, which Elizabeth posted last week, has been viewed over one million times.

We’re wondering if the hula hoop will be joining Elizabeth and her hubby Jeremy, in the delivery room. It looks like an excellent way to bring on labour and possibly even ease labour pains.
