Back to School 2016 – drink bottles

A drink bottle is a must-have item in your child’s back-to-school kit, but which one to choose? Click on through to reveal our favourite water bottles for the school (or kinder) yard!

First out of the blocks, we here at Babyology HQ, agree that SIGG is top of the pops – and water fountain. Robust in all of its aluminium glory, this Swiss made water bottle will bounce back every time, is easy to clean and holds plenty of water for the day. The larger of the kids range holds 600ml ($39.90) and is a great option for school aged children while the smallest bottle is perfect for packing into the child care or preschool bag – and there’s plenty of awesome designs on offer! You can also find a selection over at Baby Bunting.

Camelbak is a well known brand for those seeking a quality built water vessel and the Camelbak Eddy range doesn’t disappoint. These cute 400ml bottles are available in a huge range of designs from Lime Tree Kids, priced $24.95. Alternatively, you can create a custom Camelbak water bottle at Camelbak Custom Bottles.

Howards Storage World has all pint-sized Star Wars fans’ hydration needs taken care of with these super fun Star Wars water bottles, priced $14.95 each.

Lego lovers will get a kick out of a Lego head water bottle. Be quick on your feet for this one Babyologists, available in red and black they’re just $9.50 at Peter’s of Kensington.

Quick to catch my eye with their fantastic designs, Contigo has fantastic options for the school yard. The Contigo Kids Striker Autosport Bottle, $13.95, holds 420ml and promises to be leak and spill proof.

If your child struggles with drinking plain water, a healthy way to flavour up is with fruit. The Kids Infruition water bottle contains a fantastic chamber to fill with fruit to naturally flavour drinking water. Choose from blue and pink in four motif designs, priced £12.99, from Infruition.

We recently mentioned Ohyo collapsible water bottles – what a fantastic space saving option when kids start to lug home bags filled with homework! Ohyo prices start from £5.99 (500ml).

Keeping their cool, literally is the Cheeki 600ml Insulated Stainless Steel Sports Bottle, $28.95, keeping contents cool and fresh for six hours in all conditions. Get yours at Haggus and Stookles, just in time for the school bell!

The water bottle of choice in our house, Tupperware water bottles come up trumps. H2O On-The Go water bottles are available in a set of four, 500ml size for $33 and for those with older kids, a set of four 1 litre bottles for $57. The best bit – a lifetime warranty and the kids won’t chew the spouts!

The Décor water bottle range has come a long way since the original Pump water bottle, we’re now spoiled for choice with designs and capacities ranging from 450ml to 1 litre. You’ll find the Décor range in most supermarkets, making it easy to just throw one in your trolley while doing the groceries. Too easy!

Finally, for keeping those water bottles cool, my favourite tool is the Ikea Plasis range of ice cube trays. At just 99 cents a tray, stock up on this long ice cube shape tray and go to town fitting them through the mouth of your bottle!
