Another year. Another fantastic opportunity to check out some of the latest trends in baby, toddler and kid’s finds. And this year’s Kids Instyle show in Melbourne did not disappoint! Babyology’s Founder and CEO, Mandi Gunsberger took a stroll down the aisles yesterday – here’s what caught her eye.
Let’s start the hunt for gorgeous new products in the bedroom with a few decorative items that add flair and fun to any little one’s living space. First on the list are these amazing money banks from Devine Design by Derya.
They come in a number of different styles for girls and boys including their Star Wars, Superhero and rainbow-themed options (starting at $49).
We also can’t help but adore their Swan display clothing rack ($249) which provides an elegant way to display all of those pretty outfits (see left image at the top of the page).
Devine Design by Derya also launched their Lego lover’s cupboard at the Melbourne trade show, a fun addition to any Lego-themed playroom or bedroom and perfect for busy little hands to keep their precious treasures safe.
Wall art is a popular purchase for nurseries and kid’s rooms but it’s always nice to have a personalised touch. For mums who love to get creative (but hate the stuff around of buying all the items needed to DIY), then this find of Mandi’s will be right up your alley.
Aussie-owned Clementine and Thread have adorable embroidery kits to make your own wall art, key chains, necklaces and plenty of other knick knacks to add a creative edge to your home. Prices start at around $35 and these little kits make a great gift, especially for those who love to use their hands.
Kat and Fox is another Australian company worth looking into, especially if you adore beautiful bedding and funky decor that comes from the heart. We love the story behind this brand, which combines Australian mum and owner, Kat Rattray’s love of illustrated books with her passion for interior design.
Watch this space as Kat and Fox will have a new range out every six months.
You may be familiar with Kippins’ range of furry friends ($39) for babies which are wildly sweet baby comforters. Kippins come in all your favourite Aussie animals and are machine-washable, hypo-allergenic and gentle on new skin.
Babies love them. And so do we!
Moving into the wonderful world of water play, Mandi came back raving about the sheer brilliance of Minnow Designs‘ wetsuit fabric beach booties ($30) that let little ones (ages six months to three years) walk on hot sand without pain.
Seriously, why didn’t we think of this? I’ll take two pairs right now, thanks.
Sticking with summer fun and launching soon are these amazing waterproof baby carriers, absolutely perfect for Aussie beach bubs and made by Australian company, Frog Orange.
When this product is available to buy, we will be sure to let you know (dad not included. I’m saving him for myself).
So what do you think, Babyologists? Are you excited for the wide range of fantastic Aussie finds this year? We certainly are!
