Babyology puts Bobles through its paces

active play

Let me preface this by saying I have very active boys. It takes all of my energy each day just to keep up with their physical demands and our backyard is their playground along with the local parks. I couldn’t survive without multiple trips to the park every week; while we have a climbing gym and Springfree trampoline out back, it simply isn’t enough to wear them out some days!

You can imagine I was the first to jump up and down with my hand in the air like an excited schoolgirl when the opportunity came up to road test the active play gear Bobles. We wrote about Bobles in December 2008 when we first discovered it and again in February 2011 to mark the Australian launch.

From the moment the tumbling animals hit the grass, the boys were besotted. My three-year-old in particular uses them in such creative ways that I just sit and watch as he sets them up in different configurations. He then leaps and tumbles, rolls and dives between them, chuckling and generally having an awesome time. He also engages in role play while using them; I’m simply agog at what he comes up with!

You can buy Bobles from Kids Lifestyle from $49 a piece and I can vouch they are worth every cent. I don’t think I ever quite envisaged just how much fun they would have with these high-quality active play pieces. I think they’d even encourage kids who are less active to get out there and have a tumble.
