Look what’s landed at Red Nest! Red Nest, online home to exceptional designers that are otherwise difficult to find in Australia, has lots of new labels flying in for winter.
We fell in love with Dis Une Couleur (French for ‘say colour’) at Playtime Paris. Using retro styles with modern fabrics that are mostly organic and incredibly soft, the bright pieces have a distinctly seventies sportswear edge but without the John McEnroe tantrums. Pieces are priced from $36.50 to $77.
In contrast is the subtle pink, grey and winter white of Mosquito en Alaska’s new collection. The Spanish label is noted for its simple pieces with interesting embellishments – buttons, pintucks, ribbing and pockets set the designs apart. Our pick is the pink Ivanhoe Lola Tunic Poncho which has a neat wrap around tie-waist, priced at $53.
If you think ‘unisex clothing’ for kids is pretty much limited to onesies and baby clothes, you’d be wrong. Esp NO.1‘s unisex collection is made from soft Japanese slub cotton with strong graphic design elements and relaxed denim that is super-comfortable for boys and girls. Esp NO.1 is sized up to ten years. Prices range from $42-$51 for the t-shirts and$66-$86 for jeans.
