Babyology around the world – fabulous finds from France

I’m the first to admit that though my understanding of the French language is ridiculously limited, I know a très magnifique French product when I see one. Hailing from the country that is home to the Eiffel Tower and where locals make meals from a baguette and the finest of fromage, we bring you all manner of sweet French things that will no doubt have you cooing oui oui!

Janod Duo Kitchen Urban Baby

A favourite in many a toy box are the wooden wares from Janod. Good old fashioned, honest, simple fun where imaginations play an integral part of Janod play. Choose from role play toys including work benches and quaint kitchens to learning toys, vehicles, building sets and even decor items. It’s all magnificent and of course, all French!

Coq En Pâte_clothing

There’s no denying the French have a certain fashionable flair about them, and we love that Coq en Pate has created a collection positively brimming with bold colour, clean lines and an amazing menagerie of animals fit for any serious animal lover. If you love this style you’re in luck, the Coq en Pate collection includes clothing, accessories and even homewares, all sporting this signature style.

Mini Labo is one of my personal French favourites, when talking all things en Francais. There’s something for everyone under the Mini Labo umbrella – from notebooks and writing sets, to coin purses and toiletry bags sized perfectly for hospital bags and all the ever so charming soft toys and decor items (such as these suitcases) in between.

After a childhood of hearing don’t play with your food, it’s all you can to do when it comes to the fancy French feasts created by the fabulously fun team at Djeco. Older children will also love the awesome Djeco sticker lineup and their stunning puzzles – of which we own several and can absolutely vouch for their beauty!

For classic, timeless wardrobe appeal with a distinctive European flavor, we couldn’t see past the darling delights behind the Le Carrousel label. Tunics and trousers are plentiful and just so very Parisian chic, if we don’t say so ourselves.

A charming little store we discovered recently is April Eleven. Lining the virtual aisles of this French boutique are beautiful print fabric swings and a variety of carefully chosen decor pieces – definitely worth a look!

The sensational Catimini label is truly the cutting edge of French fashion. We were ecstatic to announce it’s now available locally, which we won’t lie, saves a bucket load on shipping costs – which simultaneously removes any guilt about using those savings on one more gorgeous tee from this designer collection.

If you have a deft hand in paper crafts then you may well fancy the challenge of constructing your own mini teepee set with 6 Tipis – each kit contains all you need to create six super cute, pint sized teepees.

Think French designer maternity wear is completely out of reach? We have good news, a small collection of L’Avenue des Bébés is available right here in Australia and is currently on sale. Be quick to secure some luxe wardrobe staples to kit out the maternity wardrobe!

The French are clever people, evidence is clearly shown in the design of the ultimate slipper-cum-sock creation that is Collegien. It’s a sock with a flexible rubber sole, completely machine washable and an absolute must for the kids to keep their toes toasty warm during the upcoming cooler months – and yes, completely French!
