Babes in the Shade – UV and chlorine resistant swimwear for kids

Hooray for summer! Hooray for lazy days on the beach, eating loads of gelato and especially hooray for not getting sunburnt. Babes in the Shade will make sure of that, with its range of UV-blocking swimsuits and rashies.

Brisbane’s own Babes in the Shade has just released its new collection of swimmers and rash vests for children. The new collection is full of graphic patterns and 60s-inspired prints, all made up in a special UV-blocking fabric that gives SPF50 protection.

The pieces are made to be mixed and matched. Red Flower Bathers ($35) for girls can be worn with the matching sunhat ($19) and the navy and white Chevron Rashie ($44). For boys, the Cockatoo Boardshorts ($29) look great with the bold navy and white stripes of the Rugger Rashie ($44).

Babes in the Shade start out bright and stay that way. The swimsuits come in two levels of chlorine resistant fabric. For those who spend every day swimming laps or splashing at the pool, a five out of five rating is ideal. The fabric retains its stretch and recovery, as well as the vibrancy of the pattern. Four out of five stars is ideal for people who swim twice a week.

Babes in the Shade is available online and ships in Australia for a flat rate of $15.
