My round-up of the posts I’ve adored from the past twelve months has a trend. Boys! Whether it was subconscious or otherwise, most of my favourite posts have a distinct (or in some cases subtle) leaning towards little men – can you tell I’m a mum of only boys?
I’m so happy that I discovered fabulous Australian label Duke Of London. It’s what all the cool kids are wearing (in fact every time my son wants to wear his Duke pants, he asks for “the cool ones”). Even though it is boyswear, there are plenty of girls who are also getting around in Duke threads.
Tights for boys? Yes, finally! Those were my exact thoughts when I wrote up the post on Little Titans. They’re practical and warm, but with a superhero edge, it’s no problem to get boys to thrown on a pair.
While the days of summer seem so far away, I can still wistfully remember this post I wrote on Love Brand & Co, who’ve developed a great range of boys’ swimwear. And the bonus is that they also make adult sizes, so dads can keep it in the family.
With the weather mostly foul down here in Victoria, gumboots have become a wardrobe staple for the family. But they need not be dark and dreary to suit the weather, thanks to amazing Timber & Tamber Rain Boots. Gorgeous rainy day footwear for kids, and another Australian company to boot (pardon the pun!).
And still on the shoe theme, I had a great time putting together a Toddle Shoe Round Up. It’s a great go-to guide to see just what’s available in footwear for little ones who are just starting to find their feet.
