Melbourne’s own Alphabet Soup is back this winter with two fresh collections for the little men in your life.
Alphabet Soup is known for its easy street style, and Renegade Runaway is a 90s inspired version, with all the grunge styling you’d expect from the era.
Jeans are skinny black acid wash, with the sort of knee rips that make grandma’s gasp. There are traditional red and black buffalo checked flannel shirts, worn over skull and crossbones long sleeves. Add a cherry red Fender guitar to the ensemble and suddenly all Generation X-ers will be transported back to their angsty teenage days.
Woodland Warrior is Renegade’s brother collection, and takes streetwear to the great outdoors. The colour palette is dark and cosy – navy, burgundy, and army green – accented with a rich mustard yellow.
Between the camoflauge jackets, striped tees and tie-dyed hoodies, both Alphabet Soup collections embrace one of my favourite activities: pattern clashing.
Renegade Runaway and Woodland Warrior are due in stores and online in February/March 2016. Y
