A minimalist Christmas with a conscience from Culkin

You’ll have to be quick to get your hands on one of these unique Australian Christmas decor delights – but the scramble will be well worth it!

We’ve fallen well and truly in love with these beautiful Christmas creations – which will easily become a festive season talking point in any home. They are subtle, yet strong, sourced responsibly and help to give a little back to our amazing fire fighters. They are the artwork of James Culkin, who is the Exhibition and Technical Officer at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre – and a mighty fine artist!

The Culkin Christmas Tree is made from timber hand sourced from the top of the New South Wales mountains, and stand at one and a half metres tall. And the best part – $20 from the sale of each tree is donated to the Mt Victoria NSW Rural Fire Service. The trees cost $140 including delivery to the greater Sydney and Blue Mountains areas. If you live outside of these areas contact Culkin for shipping costs. The trees will be delivered on November 30 and December 7, unless you make other arrangements.

Also part of the Christmas range are these adorable Reindeer. Each one is unique and made using timber salvaged from the top of the Blue Mountains, and steel. Although each one differs from the next, they stand at roughly twenty to thirty centimetres high. They are $35 each, including postage and handling.
